behind the video with Liminal ("Glue Gun")
A great music video can create an entire universe in the span of a single song. You press play and go through the portal. Your cells are altered, your vision adjusts to the concept of another dimension (another dimension...ₐₙₒₜₕₑᵣ dᵢₘₑₙₛᵢₒₙ). You leave changed, perhaps forever.
Sorry, I'm feeling dramatic in a sci-fi way after watching the Australian psych rock band Liminal's video for "Glue Gun," which is a single off their upcoming album Hyper Normal. A space age jazz backdrop with non-Euclidean blorbs of guitar floating above...oblique imagery that's both technological and spiritual (is there a difference? is computer God? I gotta finish my cup of coffee)...the "Glue Gun" video is a delight, and is directed by Liminal's own Alako Myles.
I got some Pop-Up Video-style intel about the whole project, which will be revealed below...but also check out the video first...
Liminal shares...Behind The Video Deets!
